53-4-708. Alternatives to program participation. (1) In lieu of participation in the JOBS program, the department may require that an individual participate, on a full-time basis, in educational activities directed toward the attainment of a high school diploma or its equivalent if the individual:
     (a) is a custodial parent as defined in administrative rules adopted by the department;
     (b) has not attained 20 years of age; and
     (c) has not successfully completed a high school education.
     (2) Attendance in good standing at an institution of higher education or a school of vocational or technical training may constitute satisfactory participation in the program under 53-4-706.
