7-16-4202. (Temporary) Composition of park board. (1) Except as provided in subsection (2), the board of park commissioners must be composed of the mayor or city manager of the city and six other persons to be appointed by the mayor or city manager of the city with the approval of the city council.
     (2) A city authorized by 7-16-4201 to create a board of park commissioners may elect to have its board of park commissioners consist of seven members appointed by the mayor or the city manager and may elect not to require its mayor or city manager to serve as a member of the board.
