2-2-142. Prohibition on political activity by commission members. A member of the ethics commission may not participate in political activity or in a political campaign during the term of office. A member of the commission may not:
     (1) make a financial contribution to a candidate;
     (2) make a financial contribution to a political committee; or
     (3) knowingly attend a fundraiser held for the benefit of a candidate or political committee.
