39-72-714. Reduction or suspension of compensation for unsanitary or injurious practices or refusal to submit to medical or surgical treatment. The department may reduce or suspend the compensation of an employee who persists in unsanitary or injurious practices tending to imperil or retard his recovery or who refuses to submit to such medical or surgical treatment as is reasonably essential to promote his recovery.
