61-5-112. Classification of commercial driver's license. The department upon issuing a commercial driver's license shall indicate on the license the class of license issued and shall appropriately examine each applicant according to the class applied for and may impose rules for classification, examination, and use that it considers necessary for the safety and welfare of the traveling public.
