37-17-306. Renewal. (1) The license expires on the date set by department rule. The department shall notify each person licensed under this chapter relative to the date of the expiration and the amount of the renewal fee. This notice must be mailed to each licensed psychologist at the licensee's listed address at least 1 month before the expiration of the license.
(2) Renewal may be made by application during the 60 days prior to the expiration date. Failure on the part of a person licensed to pay the renewal fee by the expiration date does not deprive the person of the right to renew, but the fee must be increased 10% for each month or major portion of a month that the payment of the renewal fee is delayed after the expiration date. The maximum fee for delayed renewal may not exceed twice the normal renewal fee. Application for renewal following a lapse of 1 year or more will be subject to review by the board, and the applicant may be requested to complete an examination successfully if the board so determines.
