17-5-414. Authorization of bonds. The board of examiners is authorized to issue and sell long-range building program bonds in an amount not exceeding $39,334,695, over and above the amount of long-range building program bonds outstanding January 1, 1983, to be issued in accordance with the terms and in the manner required by Title 17, chapter 5, part 8. The board of examiners is also authorized to refund such bonds in accordance with Title 17, chapter 5, part 3, if it is deemed that such refunding would be in the best interest of the state. The authority granted to the board by this section is in addition to any other authorization to the board to issue and sell long-range building program bonds or refunding bonds.
