19-3-319. State contributions for local government and school district employers. The state shall contribute monthly from the general fund to the pension trust fund a sum equal to 0.1% of the compensation of members employed by local government entities and school districts on and after July 1, 1997. The board shall certify amounts due under this section on a monthly basis, and the state treasurer shall transfer those amounts to the pension trust fund within 1 week. The payment is statutorily appropriated as provided in 17-7-502.
