25-9-807. Damages -- in camera hearing. (1) The court in which recognition of a foreign judgment is sought may award damages against the person seeking recognition of a foreign judgment to compensate a customer for the customer's loss of privacy.
(2) The amount of the damages awarded pursuant to subsection (1) must bear a reasonable relationship to the person's ability to pay and may not exceed $1 million.
(3) Any part of a hearing necessary to determine the rights and obligations of the parties pursuant to part 6 and this part may be held in camera to protect the privacy of any of the parties.
