3-2-502. Duties of marshal. (1) It shall be the duty of the marshal to attend upon the supreme court and the justices thereof at each term of court. He shall be the executive officer of the court and act as crier thereof.
(2) He must serve within the state all returns and processes issuing from the supreme court and shall have all the powers and exercise all the duties pertaining to sheriffs as to the district courts so far as the same are applicable.
(3) He shall act as a law clerk for the supreme court justices.
