31-3-202. Debt adjusting prohibited -- penalty. No person shall engage in the business of debt adjusting. Whoever shall engage in the business of debt adjusting shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than $500 or be imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both.
