33-22-507. Continuing group coverage after reduction of work schedule. A person covered by a group disability insurance policy issued or renewed after October 1, 1981, under 33-22-501(1) may, for a period of 1 year, with the consent of the employer or the trustees, continue coverage under group disability policy during his employment notwithstanding any reduction of his regular work schedule to less than the minimum time required to qualify for membership in the group, and the premium charged him shall be equal to that charged other members of the group of the same risk class.
