5-17-204. Compensation and expenses for members. (1) Except as provided in subsection (2), each commission member is entitled to compensation in the amount determined by the commission president, not to exceed $25 for each day in which the commission member is actually and necessarily engaged in the performance of commission duties. A commission member is also entitled to travel expense reimbursement as provided in 2-18-501 through 2-18-503.
(2) Members of the commission who are full-time salaried officers or employees of the state or any political subdivision of the state are not entitled to compensation for their services as members of the commission but are entitled to reimbursement for travel expenses, as provided in 2-18-501 through 2-18-503, when engaged in commission activities.
