71-3-608. Duties of county clerk. The county clerk must file any claim presented under the provisions of this part, endorse thereon the time of receiving the same, and keep the same in his office for the inspection of all persons and shall enter in a book, properly ruled and kept for such purpose, the names of all the parties, such names to be alphabetically arranged, the amount of the lien, and the time of filing the same.
