50-71-107. General research and review powers of department. The department may develop greater knowledge and interest in the causes and prevention of industrial accidents, occupational diseases, and related subjects through:
     (1) research, conferences, lectures, and uses of public communications media;
     (2) collection and dissemination of accident statistics; and
     (3) development of staff competent in the review of safety codes.
