61-3-424. List of amateur radio operator license plates -- distribution to public officials. The department shall, on or before July 1 of each year, furnish to the disaster and emergency services division of the department of military affairs and the chief of the state highway patrol an electronic record containing a county-based, alphabetically arranged list of the names, addresses, and license plate numbers and letters of each person to whom an amateur radio operator license plate or a combined license plate has been issued. It is the duty of the disaster and emergency services division of the department of military affairs and the chief of the state highway patrol to retain this information for use in the event of a public emergency or other disruption of commonly used communication networks.
