69-14-208. Officers and employees of corporation to wear badges. (1) A conductor, baggage master, engineer, brake tender, or other employee of any railroad corporation employed on a passenger train or at stations for passengers shall wear, upon the person's hat or cap or in some conspicuous place on the breast of the person's coat, a badge indicating the person's office or station and the initial letters of the name of the corporation by which the person is employed.
(2) A collector or conductor without a badge is not authorized to demand or to receive from any passenger any fare, toll, or ticket or exercise any of the powers of the person's office or station, and any other officer or employee without a badge does not have any authority to meddle or interfere with any passenger or property.
