2-15-3006. Montana mint committee -- composition -- allocation. (1) There is a Montana mint committee composed of at least four and not more than six members. The members include the director of the department of agriculture and at least three and not more than five members appointed by the governor.
     (2) Each appointed member must be a citizen of Montana who is actively involved in the growing of mint in this state, and one of the appointed members must be a member of or otherwise represent the mint industry research council. The qualifications of members must continue during their terms of office.
     (3) A list of nominees for appointment must be submitted to the governor by Montana associations representing mint growers. Names of nominees must be submitted at least 91 days before the expiration of a committee member's term. The governor shall appoint members from among the persons nominated.
     (4) Appointed members shall serve terms of 4 years.
     (5) The committee is allocated to the department of agriculture for administrative purposes only as prescribed in 2-15-121.
