69-11-106. Gratuitous carriers. (1) Carriers without reward are subject to the same rules as employees without reward, except as is otherwise provided by this chapter.
(2) A carrier without reward who has begun to perform the carrier's undertaking shall complete it in the same manner as if the carrier had received a reward unless the carrier restores the person or thing carried to as favorable a position as before the carriage was commenced.
(3) A carrier of persons without reward shall use ordinary care and diligence for their safe carriage. A carrier of property without reward shall use at least slight care and diligence.
