Explanation - This amendment provides funding for an inflationary increase to Special Education (Restricted/Biennial) at the rate of 0.5% in FY 2018 and 1.87% in FY 2019. This increases Special Education funding by $214,460 in FY 2018, $1,020,550 in FY 2019. This will also cause an increase in Guaranteed Tax Base Aid (GTB) of $212,628 in FY 2019. Net increase of general fund for the biennium is $1,447,638.
