Explanation - This amendment provides a $1.4 million one-time-only increase in general fund appropriation for the office of public instruction. The funds are restricted to Special Education. Base funding for special education is $42.9 million.

The Amendment also includes an increase of $0.2 million in BASE Aid for the related increase in Guaranteed Tax Base.
