Explanation - The Section D subcommittee approved funding for five attorney positions within the Office of the state Public Defender as part of the executive's request for 20.00 new FTE. This amendment increases general fund by $1,704,767 in FY 2024 and $1,716,996 in FY 2025 to provide the remaining 15.00 FTE. Additional positions to be funded include six attorneys, six criminal investigators, two administrative assistants, and one project manager.
