The Legislature's water committee will consider altering weather modification laws, perhaps leading to the first changes in 28 years. Also at its March 9-10 meeting, the Water Policy Interim Committee moved ahead on a study of the future of the Montana Water Court.

The Water Policy Interim Committee seeks stakeholder and public suggestions to ensure the accuracy of the water rights database. A committee-appointed working group will consider the submitted suggestions during a mid-April conference call.

A special working group meant to untangle issues related to the state water rights database will meet March 2 for its first meeting.
